Prix de l’arc de Triomphe.

Keiron Fallon riding Dylan Thomas Survived a lengthy steward’s enquiry to win the Prix de l’arc de Triomphe at Longchamps.

In an eventful race which saw the favourite Authorized at the back of the field under Frankie Dettori the winner interferred with Zambesi Sun and then stable-mate Soldier of Fortune in the closing stages. Youmzain, trained by Mick Channon, then came with a storming run which just failed to catch the winner. Both horses were available at 5/6 during the enquiry which lasted over 30 minutes. Having seen the verdicts of some of the French stewards it would not have been a surprise to see the winner disqualified.
