Two goals from Jason Koumas gave Wales a battling 2-2 draw with Republic of Ireland. Wales went ahead with a header from Koumas but 2 goals from Robbie Keane and Kevin Doyle put the Irish ahead before an 89th minute penalty gave the Welsh a draw.
Wales now face the might of Germany on Wednesday in Frankfurt. Good luck!!!!
Swansea City missed out on the opportunity to go to the top of Division 1 when they were beaten 1-0 at the Liberty Stadium on Friday night. Roberto Martinez must be concerned about the Swans being unable to break down sides that come to The Liberty to defend. Swansea have been drawn at home to Brighton in the Semi-final of the Johnstones Paint Trophy and are now 5/2 favourites to lift the trophy.

Three defeats and a draw were the poor returns for our Welsh teams in this weekend’s matches in the Heinekin Cup. Cardiff Blues battled back to grab a 13-13 draw at Harlequins but the other three slumped to defeat. It now seems unlikely that we will have a Welsh winner this season as the Ospreys are now the lowest priced of the Welsh teams at 22/1 to win the Cup.

An outstanding finish to the flat season at Doncaster on Saturday resulted in two jockeys sharing the title…..the first time this has happened since 1923.
Going in to the last day Seb Sanders led Jamie Spencer by one winner and it was finally decided when Spencer rode the last winner Inchnadamph to an eight length victory.

Swansea City entertain Yeovil Town at the Liberty Stadium on Tuesday night in the Southern area quarter final. Both sides come into the game in fine form and it will be interesting to see the team selections after both managers have said they will rest players.
If you fancy either of these teams to lift the trophy we are offering 6/1 Swansea and 14/1 Yeovil.

Mixed fortunes for our four Welsh representatives in this weekend’s matches. The Ospreys managed a home win against Bourgoin [22-15] and the Blues did the same by beating Bristol [34-18]. Not such good news for the Dragons who battled back, only to finally lose 23-19 at Perpignon, and the Scarlets who were over-powered by a strong Clermont-Auvergne side by 48-21.

Spanish striker Guillem Bauza rescued the ‘Swans’ after Ryman League team Billericay had taken a 1-0 lead. They battled back to gain a deserved 2-1 win. Next is a visit to Horsham who beat Maidstone 4-1 to reach the second round.
Wrexham are out of the cup after being beaten 4-1 at Peterborough. They can now concentrate on staying in the League after a dismal start to the season.
