Swansea v Birmingham….After another shambolic weekend of welsh football, many of us are left asking ourselves how much more disappointment we can handle. Die hard Swans supporters might be expecting worse yet to come as the true cost of Fridays 2-3 loss becomes apparent in the injuries of Ferrie Bodde and Leon Britton.
The game got off to a hopeful start with a 2nd minute goal from Jordi Gomez and an own goal from Birmingham, the swans were up 2-1 at half time, but Birmingham proved to be the better team scoring twice in the second half.
On behalf of the staff at Ken Howells we hope for a speedy recovery for Ferrie Bodde who is awaiting knee surgery and hopefully we will see Swans back on top form ASAP.

Cardiff and Swansea have interesting fixtures this weekend in the quest to reach the Premiership.
Cardiff travel to Plymouth knowing that the three points will keep them in the promotion battle. The signing of Aston Villa winger Wayne Routledge on a two month loan seems to suggest that Dave Jones has promotion on his mind.
Meanwhile Swansea will start us off with a Friday Night game against high-flying Birmingham City.Roberto Martinez doesn’t want promotion talk but a good result against one of the best teams in the division will get the adrenalin going!! Alex McLeish will be looking for Birmingham to return to the Premiership at the first attempt.

Everyone should be happy after wins for Wales, Cardiff City and Swansea City.
Wales got the weekend off to a good start with a workmanlike but un-inspiring defeat of Canada.Stoddart scored the first try and Halfpenny followed up with his first two tries for the senior Welsh team.
The ‘Bluebirds’ continued in fine form with a 2-1 defeat of Crystal Palace.Michael Chopra scored a penalty on his return on-loan from Sunderland and Ledley grabbed the winner. Chopra’s day should have been even better but he missed a penalty.
The ‘Swans’ grabbed all three points in a five goal thriller at Norwich with goals from Scotland, Pratley and Bodde. Let’s hope both teams keep winning and we can all have an exciting climax to the season.

Another interesting weekend with our Welsh rugby team getting proceedings underway with a Friday night clash with Canada.We all anticipate a Welsh victory but can they overcome the 41pts start that we are giving Canada on our handicap prices.
A cracking day for racing fans with a fine card at Cheltenham….I know a lot of our regular customers are looking forward to a great day out….they might try a few drinks I’m sure!!
Swansea City travel to Norwich which looks to be a difficult game…we might just settle for a point! Cardiff city entertain Crystal Palace at Ninian Park and will be hoping to continue the fine form they are showing at present.
Our Specials are;
Wales are 10/11 [-41pts] to beat Canada .
Swansea City are 2/1 to beat Norwich.

Not surprisingly, there has been some pretty glum faces gracing our shop after Swansea losing in their league cup game against Watford on Tuesday. Having beaten Watford 3-1 only three days previous, Swans fans thought they were in for some easy money opting for our 5/6 best price for the win. Many fans are blaming Martinez for making 8 changes to Sundays winning line up. A weakened Swansea conceded a goal from Williamson after only 21 minutes. The team struggled to deliver the goods, and missed opportunities, with a free kick for Bodde in the second half failing to result in any action. It was a case of too little too late, when golden boy Jason Scoltand was brought on with minutes to spare, and Jordi Gomez hit the post in a last ditch attempt to salvage the game.
What can we say…….. better luck next time Swans. As for us, we’ll keep on giving you the best prices on Welsh sport……… you can bet on that!
