After the defeat in the first Test by S. Africa we look forward to the meeting on Saturday. We will be looking for a better result than last time but the betting suggests that Wales will struggle against a strong S African squad.

Congratulations to all you shrewd people who backed Wales to win everything!! A fantastic performance against France had all the bookmakers running for cover with bets on the Grand Slam,Triple Crown and the Championship to pay out. It didn’t help when Shane Williams scored the first try……again!!

Welsh Rugby fans must be looking forward to the Christmas fixtures where the’Dragons’ travel to meet the ‘Blues’ on Boxing Day. After the fine win over Stade Francais Cardiff must be confident of beating the ‘Dragons’.
The next day sees the ‘Ospreys’ meeting the ‘Scarlets’ at Stradey Park. After a fine win in Ulster, overcoming some strange refereeing decisions, the ‘Ospreys’ must be confident that they can overcome the’ Scarlets’.

The Heineken Cup continues this week-end with two of our Welsh teams at home and two away. The ‘Blues’ have a difficult task at home to Stade Francais and the ‘Dragons’ face Treviso on Saturday. On Friday the ‘Ospreys’ travel to play Ulster and on Sunday the ‘Scarlets’ visit Munster.
We have three teams sharing favouritism for the Heineken Cup…..Gloucester,Stade Francais and Toulouse all at 5/1. The best hopes for a Welsh winner seem to be the Ospreys who are 20/1 and the ‘Blues’ at 40/1.
